Rahul, however, refused to comment on his elevation as the party president, NDTV reported.

The UPCC resolution will now be fforwarded to All India Congress Committee (AICC) for necessary action.

The Central Election Committee of the Congress Party has reviewed the preparations for the elections with the returning officer.
