I'm traveling today-I guess I really missed driving between Boston and Pennsylvania, so I'm doing it again for kicks-but I did download Microsoft Edge Preview on Android at a rest area in CT.

Last week, along with the announcement of Edge browser for Android, Microsoft also revealed that the company is giving a new look and name to the Arrow Launcher. In this early build of the mobile version, your favorites, reading list, new tab preferences, and reading view will all sync between PC and mobile. What that means is that you will now be able to download and use the Edge browser on your Android phone; something that was not possible before now. The Microsoft Edge preview for Android is now live, but getting it is a little more complicated than simply going to the Google Play Store and performing a search for the browser.

If you are a Windows 10 user, then you may be knowing that Microsoft Edge browser is there in the Windows PC for a while and a large number of a majority is already used to it. It also has the ability to move the content you are reading on Mobile to your PC or vice versa. However, the Continue on PC feature needs Windows 10 Fall Creators update to work which is still in beta.

If you had signed up to be notified about Microsoft Edge's availability on Android, you may have received an email from the company.

Microsoft Edge Now Available in Preview on Android Devices from the Google Play Store

So you can head over to the Google Play Store and grab the app to get started.

While Chrome fans and Microsoft critics will find it easy to dismiss these findings, NSS Labs note they did not receive funding from either party. Apple iOS users have to register to test this Microsoft Edge browser and once they are approved, they just need to download the app and use it.

While the browser war intensifies, Microsoft can only continue to push its Edge browser further across popular operating systems if it wants to remain relevant and not be pushed out of the market.
