The agent of Mesut Ozil has claimed that talks over extending the German playmaker's contract at Arsenal are now progressively positively, despite the seemingly interminable nature of negotiations.

Ozil's contract at the Emirates expires at the end of the season, meaning that he is free to negotiate a pre-contract deal with clubs outside England from January.

Inter Milan and Manchester United are reportedly keen on signing the former Real Madrid star, however his £350,000-a-week wage demands are a stumbling block.

Gooners, would you be happy to keep Ozil?

Ozil's future has always been at the forefront of the minds of Arsenal fans, but for the time being his focus exclusively rests on recovering from his knee problem, which looks set to keep him out of Arsenal's clash with Watford on Saturday (15 October).

However, the Gunners must do without German defender Shkodran Mustafi, who suffered a suspected thigh muscle tear while on worldwide duty.
