Nokia 9 with curved glass display and dual rear cameras leaks

HMD Global is expected to launch the next-generation Nokia 9 smartphone, and some rumours claim the device to come with a nearby bezel-less design.

Now, it's entirely possible HMD will again focus its marketing efforts on gimmicky stuff like a Dual-Sight mode for the front and rear shooters of this Nokia 9, built-in live video streaming capabilities or OZO spatial 360-degree audio. The curved design looks fantastic, though it is hard to see the actual outline of the display. Many concept images of the flagship smartphone have been leaked online, and now new renders of the Nokia 9 corroborate previous leaks. Now, we've seen leaked pics of the smartphone earlier suggesting a curved design but here we have the clearest CAD renders yet.

Nokia 9 has been speculated for a long, even before the launch of the Nokia 8 in August. Despite boasting of Carl Zeiss lenses, Nokia's camera on the Nokia 8 was hardly anything to write home about. Instead, the fingerprint scanner can be seen embedded on the rear of the phone.

Despite various clashing rumours suggesting that the handset will make it over to the States, NokiaPowerUser was sent a screenshot of an email sent to one of its readers from HMD's head of sales in the US, Rex Fryhover, which explained that the Nokia 8 is "not properly banded" for the U.S. and as such HMD can't ensure its pledge of "100% customer satisfaction" for American Nokia fans.

On the bottom edge of the Nokia 9 render, it comes with a single speaker and USB Type-C port. Another take away is that it doesn't have a headphone jack.

I'm pleased to be the bearer of three promising pieces of news regarding the Nokia Android phones today. The Nokia 9 may possibly arrive with Android Oreo onboard.

HMD Global's Nokia 9 will have a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with thin bezels, but no headphone jack.
