Mark Hunt Threatens UFC With Lawsuit

Yesterday evening, the UFC brass revealed that they'd withdrawn Hunt from his upcoming fight with Marcin Tybura due to "medical concerns".

The No. 5 "Super Samoan" took to social media to voice his displeasure over the removal with UFC president Dana White.

Following his quick submission win over Gerald Harris at UFC 216, Fabricio Werdum has been picked to replace Hunt against Tybura in the UFC Fight Night 121 headliner on November 19.

In a statement, the organisation said Hunt has been pulled due to medical concerns. Werdum defeated Hunt at UFC 180 to capture the UFC interim heavyweight championship, and would go on to defeat Cain Velasquez to secure the undisputed title. My memory is not that good anymore. "And spent $100,000 on camp", Hunt said.

The decision could have something to do with an article Hunt wrote for Playersvoice.com, in which he laid out his health problems, and discussed other hot topics such as doping and fighter pay.

"I'm disappointed that I have been withdrawn from the fight, I have passed all medicals 2 days ago".

It's interesting to see Hunt refer to the Player's Voice article as an "interview" as he was quoted as author on the story.

Replacing the 43-year-old will be Fabricio Werdum, fresh off a submission win just last Sunday. The heavyweight already has an ongoing lawsuit with the UFC stemming from his fight with Brock Lesnar in July 2016. "I would be like "I'm tough, I'm fine, I'm good, I got this, I know what I'm talking about, I've been doing this sport long enough, trust me" but it's just so evident in this case that it's like c'mon man, what else do you have left to prove?"

The loss was later overturned to a no-contest after Lesnar tested positive to a banned substance.

Hunt is accusing the UFC of allowing Lesnar to compete despite his allegation that they were aware the former heavyweight champion was using performance-enhancing drugs.

Hunt has three fights remaining on his current contract and an official told Australia's Daily Telegraph he would have to undergo further testing and evaluations prior to competing in any future UFC bout.

News of Hunt's withdrawal from the card, which takes place in Sydney, Australia, came shortly after he admitted he's suffering from head trauma and that he's beginning to slur his words.
