All Of Today's Proceeds From Hellblade Will Go To Mental Health Charity

Ninja Theory has announced that today, October 10, it will be donating all revenue from the sale of Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice to Rethink, a mental health charity based in the United Kingdom.

Hellblade is a superb exploration of mental illness told with poise and poignancy.

Today is World Mental Health Day, and given the stigma, misunderstanding and lack of awareness surrounding mental health in every day life, it's a pretty important one.

Rethink is a United Kingdom organization that supports and campaigns for those severely affected by mental illness. The charity works to help millions of people affected by mental illness, so they can definitely make due with some help. Hellblade's protagonist, Senua, suffers from psychosis, and the game's plot and mechanics revolve around Senua's journey into the hellish underworld constructed within her own embattled mind.

To celebrate, Ninja Theory have put together an accolades trailer, but instead of the customary smattering of review quotes, they've gone for a different approach: all the quotes featured in the trailer are from fans. Now that many people have had a chance to play the game, a new trailer has arrived dedicated to them. The trailer itself combines photos taken by players using the game's photo mode with comments from players and fans who have struggled with mental health problems.

What we have is the official Hellblade accolades trailer. If you haven't yet purchased Hellblade, consider picking it up tomorrow.
