11-year-old's joyful reaction to adoption news melts hearts

A Utah girl couldn't contain her excitement when she found out that she was going to be adopted, and her reaction was caught on a security camera.

Butterfield's mom Jennifer Fisher is grateful for the security camera, for Miss Jackie, for the judge and most of all for her daughter! "She knew she would want to know right away because she had been so anxious", Alexander wrote in a social media post.

"She just held me tighter and tighter, so I took advantage of that".

"Butterfield said, "My heart was so happy!"

Tannah, 11, along with her brother Teagun, 6, and sister Tallie, 2, will be part of their own "forever family" later this fall.

Miss Jackie told her that her adoption had been finalized.

Tannah said she was overjoyed when Alexander told her the news.

"I just grabbed her and I just said 'Honey, oh baby have you heard the news?' And she said 'What?' And I said 'You get your family".

Tannah told KUTV the video captured "the best thing that's ever happened to me".

The sixth grader jumped into Alexander's arms and gave her the biggest hug. "It was like, 'Ah!' It was screaming", Tannah said.

The footage of Tannah's reaction went viral after Alexander posted it to Instagram. saying, "I just needed to let people know there's a lot gong on in the world and there's a lot of sadness that we see, but you know what? It resembled 'ah!' It resembled shouting", she said. "You get your forever family", said Alexander.
