Those plays included an Austin Allen interception Skai Moore returned 34 yards for a TD and an Allen fumble that T.J. Brunson returned 74 yards for a score. It was Limpert's first tackle this season and second of his career.

South Carolina's defense took advantage of Arkansas' offensive mistakes, scoring three defensive touchdowns in just the second half. "At the end of the day you've got to block the pass rushers", head coach Will Muschamp said after the game.

Allen racked up a season-high 264 yards and three touchdown passes in last week's 42-24 win over New Mexico State, erasing the sting of a narrow loss to Texas A&M.

Moore's interception - the 13th of his stellar collegiate career - put SC ahead 27-10 with 8:33 remaining in the third quarter. The 48 points are the most scored under Will Muschamp.

Just when a lot of people didn't expect much, the South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday found their formula for relative SEC success.

"The kid has just been tremendous class", Bielema said.

With one round under their belt, Ferguson looked to open up strong with an overhand right followed by a right high kick. In between rounds, while Lee needed every single second to regather himself, Ferguson was pacing around, talking trash.

NeNe Leakes slams Kim Zolciak-Biermann's daughter
Kim says that she and Brielle were the only people to see the "cockroach video" until NeNe (and RHOA ) released it for ratings. A fan attempted to call out NeNe Leakes for her seemingly wishy-washy love/hate relationship with Kim over the years.

Three touchdowns from the defense isn't likely to be a formula the Gamecocks can duplicate in the coming weeks, but Saturday it was exactly what they needed.

"Inexcusable coaching is what it is", Muschamp said. Pass protection isn't the only area in which the SC offensive line has faltered; the team is averaging a terrible 3.0 yards per carry on 139 attempts - the third-worst rate in the SEC - and its 84.6 rushing yards per game ranks 122nd out of 129 FBS teams.

"No, that was dumb (bleep)", Muschamp said.

A healthy Dowdle going forward, combined with the power running of Ty'Son Williams (eight carries for 35 and a 3-yard touchdown reception), could be a big help in finally getting the offense closer to what fans expected coming into the season.

Former Gamecocks RB David Williams went to Arkansas as a grad transfer after last season. But this was a great team effort with the chips down, key players out and the upper decks at Williams-Brice Stadium half full.

The Razorbacks joined the club when sophomore walk-on Connor Limpert hit a 48-yard attempt to tie the game 3-3 in the first quarter. Leading up to the game, Razorbacks defensive coordinator Paul Rhoads had alluded to Williams providing insight into the scheme and personnel of South Carolina's attack. The Taxslayer, Citrus and Orange bowls had reps to watch the game. But South Carolina came up empty against Louisiana Tech, Texas A&M and Missouri.
