Philippe Coutinho discusses failed Barcelona move, vows commitment to Liverpool

Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho has revealed the details behind his collapsed transfer to Barcelona, admitting he and his family were excited about the move to Camp Nou.

The Brazil global was one of the Spanish club's top transfer targets but Liverpool refused to sell the midfielder, even after offers in excess of £100 million were received.

Barcelona tried unsuccessfully to sign the Brazilian throughout the summer, having three bids rejected by Liverpool.

After struggling with an alleged back injury, Coutinho missed the first six games of the season for Liverpool but he made his Anfield return against Sean Dyche's men.

Now, having made his Premier League return to Jurgen Klopp's side in the club's 1-1 draw at home to Burnley on Saturday, Coutinho insists he is exclusively focused on giving his best to the Merseyside club.
