It happened in the blink of an eye before 11 a.m. Saturday amid two occasions at the unpredictable, Cars and Coffee and Rock'N Brews and BBQ.

Six of the injured were transported to the hospital via ambulance, while five went by private vehicles. Also, the investigation is ongoing, but preliminary information shows that the driver of a Porsche Spyder was accelerating rapidly as he left the vehicle show from Entertainment onto eastbound Overland Road, lost control, and went onto the curb and into the crowd on a grassy area.

Cars and Coffee has been a monthly event since 2013, according to its Facebook page. The victims sustained serious but not critical injuries, said Boise Police Lt. Charles LeBar, according to the Idaho Statesman. When it's complete authorities will forward it to the Ada County prosecutor for possible charges against the driver.

At least 11 bystanders have been injured and taken to hospital after a man driving a Porsche smashed into a crowd following an auto show outside the Boise Spectrum Center in Idaho.

LeBar said the driver was among several who had turned right off of Entertainment Avenue onto eastbound Overland Road.

On social media, there are unconfirmed reports from witnesses suggesting that children were among those hit.

Police believe the act wasn't intentional, but individuals who attended the event seem to suggest that it was the lack of respect the driver showed earlier.
