Finance Minister Eatala Rajender has suggested that the Goods and Service Tax Network (GSTN) - the nodal agency established for development of GST portal and other IT services to all the stakeholders - share the data pertaining to State, especially on returns and registrations, on daily basis. The group of Ministers has consulted IT solution vendors, tax consultants and experts, commercial tax officials, bankers and big companies to flag the issues coming in the way of smooth filing of GST returns. When asked to specify the nature of glitches, revenue secretary Hasmukh Adhia said some assessees were having problems in changing the nature of registration on the system.

The GOM meeting will be held every 15 days, mostly in Bengaluru, with the next meeting scheduled in the first week of October.

It was also made a decision to have another meeting of the committee in 15 days to review the improvement of various issues and also to fix deadlines on individual aspects for release and sticking to the same. "In first week of October, we'll finalise the date and most probably in Bengaluru as Infosys is here itself", he said.

"Owing to to huge rush of GSTR-3B return filing on the penultimate date of the month, the GSTN software witnessed glitches", he said.
