As part of BMW's push towards electric mobility it has revealed a four-door Gran Coupe, the BMW i Vision Dynamics, that offers a pointer to how its next i model, the i5, will look. Like on the Tesla Model S, the door handles are flush with the body.
Featuring a modified version of the grille seen on the new X7 iPerformance, it promises a top speed of 200 kilometers per-hour and zero to 100 Km/h (64 miles per-hour) in four seconds.
BMW Group, which comprises BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce, has committed to 25 electrified derivations of existing models by 2025, of which 12 will be purely electric.
"With the i3 and i8 we have designed a revolutionary city vehicle and a revolutionary sports auto", said Adrian van Hooydonk, BMW Group's Design chief. "We are therefore electrifying the heart of the BMW brand and, at the same time, elevating BMW i into a totally new dimension." said Harald Krüger, Chairman of the Board of Management at BMW AG.

Cassini Makes its 'Goodbye Kiss' Flyby of Titan
The Cassini has scheduled to make contact with earth on September 12 as per NASA at about 6:19 pm PDT (9:19 pm EDT). On Friday, the 15 September, Cassini will send itself into Saturn, nearly 20 years since it left Earth.
Note, the i Vision Dynamics, if it is intended for production, shouldn't be confused with the code-named iNext which BMW has already confirmed for a launch in 2021. It features a long wheelbase, flowing roofline and short overhangs.
"BMW i is the innovation driver for the BMW Group".
However the car's visual highlight is the side window profile line (which looks like a Kia grille) having only recently made its debut on BMW's i models, and which BMW for some weird, egotistical reason reckons has already become an "iconic styling cue".
Obviously, with one glance you can tell that BMW designers have become infatuated with the brand's traditional kidney grille, present here in quite some prominence by dominating the front end. "The BMW i Vision Dynamics allows us to show right now what another electric BMW might look like".
