Jaguars have to use in-house options to replace Allen Robinson

Robinson suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury in his left knee during the Jaguars' first offensive series of the season, the team confirmed Sunday.

Dallas linebacker and former Bishop Luers standout Jaylon Smith made his National Football League debut late after sitting out last season recovering from an injury suffered in his last game with Notre Dame.

Lee had battled injuries through his first two seasons but stayed healthy in 2016 and caught 63 passes for 851 yards and three touchdowns and averaged 30.3 yards on 18 kickoff returns.

That means the Jaguars are likely in the market for another receiver, but there aren't many options available. Robinson's injury was so bad, that he was ruled out for the game. He is expected to miss the rest of the regular season.

Robinson led the Jaguars in receptions (73), receiving yards (883) and receiving touchdowns (six) last season.

The Jaguars now have fellow veteran wide receivers Allen Hurns, Marqise Lee and Arrelious Benn on the active roster.

After those three, however, the Jaguars don't have a player on the roster who has caught a pass in a game.

Without Robinson, the Jaguars will have to rely heavily on Marqise Lee and Allen Hurns, as well as veteran Arrelious Benn, who is one of the team's core special-teams players. Westbrook in particular seems to have the traits you look for in a number one receiver, so it will interesting to see how many snaps he gets when he finally gets on to the field.

If so, it's possible Robinson would be lost for the remainder of the season. And while he did struggle last season, Robinson is still Blake Bortles' No. 1 receiver.
