According to a statement signed and released in Abuja on Saturday, by Presidential Spokesman, Femi Adesina the President spoke while receiving the presidential media team, and the Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora Matters, at Abuja House, London, on Saturday.

The president said this when he received a delegation from his government led by Lai Mohammed, the information and culture minister.

Also part of the trip was Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora Matters, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Senior Special Assistant Media & Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, Special Adviser Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina and the President's Personal Assistant Digital/Online Media Lauretta Onochie.

The minister said the President exchanged banters with his aides and has not lost his sense of humour.

The President's absence from the country has generated controversy and his comments come the same week that protesters took to the streets demanding that he resumes or resign.

President Muhammdu Buhari, on Saturday, said falling ill has taught him "to obey orders, rather than be obeyed'. Here, the doctor is absolutely in charge", he said in the statement. "I've now learnt to obey orders, rather than be obeyed".
