At least one person in IL is waking Saturday up a Mega Millions jackpot victor. It was the largest jackpot in nearly a year, and the fifth largest prize in the game's 15 year history.

One lucky person who purchased a Mega Millions lottery ticket from Nick's Barbecue in Palos Heights has won an estimated $393 million.

Friday's jackpot had been growing since April 28, the last time a ticket matched all six numbers. If you weren't the big victor, you still have another chance to cash in on a huge prize. Saturday night's Powerball lottery drawing is expected to be around $356 million, with a cash option of $224 million. That big stake has been working since June 10. Winners have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their winnings.

The odds of winning either game are extreme - one in 292 million for Powerball, and one in 259 million for Mega Millions. Your chances of winning both jack pots are one in 75 quadrillion (that's fifteen zeros). That said, even $393 million pales in comparison to the $1.586 billion Powerball jackpot that was won in January 2016. Two other jackpots have also been awarded this year - $191 million, also in California, and $177 million to a ticket he purchased in Arkansas.

There's no debating Americans adore purchasing lottery tickets.
