Ezekiel Elliott Not Playing in Preseason Game Against Rams as Appeal Looms


Elliott's suspension stems from domestic violence allegations made against him past year in Ohio. Elliott was subject to the league's personal conduct policy for allegedly breaking the nose of a DJ at a Dallas nightclub.

The NFL Players' Association also issued a statement saying it is reviewing the league's decision and has been "in touch with Ezekiel and his representatives to consider all options".

National Football League officials said in a statement Friday that it investigated Elliott's case thoroughly and determined that he violated the personal conduct policy. The league cited photographs, medical information and thousands of electronic messages as evidence to back its decision to suspend Elliott, who led the NFL in rushing in 2016.
