Witnesses reported seeing 15 police cars gathered by the Ibis Budget Hotel in Salford Quays and some described hearing "screams".

In a tweet, it said: "Police responding to collision involving young boy near Ibis hotel in Salford".

Multiple cars are on the scene.

Officers were reportedly seen guarding the doors to the hotel.
