Sigurdsson's last appearance for Swansea was their first pre-season friendly at Barnet on July 12.

Everton manager Ronald Koeman has revealed that the club are yet to receive an offer for Tottenham Hotspur target Ross Barkley this summer.

"I hope it will be resolved quickly, that would be best for everyone, maybe it will happen when we don't expect it".

"I'm confident he will because of the conversations I've had with Fernando".

"It is not just a matter of getting two players who sit on the bench, we want quality". He went on to add that if he was able to get the players in that he wanted ahead of the transfer window closing then the club would be stronger than last season.

"It's a freak one and he did finish off the season strongly".

Wenger Wants The Ox To Stay And Become An Arsenal Great
When asked if Arsenal have received bids for Sanchez , Wenger replied: "I can not tell you that". Despite the defeat to Arsenal , Kante claimed Chelsea were as good as the Gunners on Sunday.

Koeman dismissed suggestions the deal had collapsed after Everton offered £10million less than Swansea's £50m valuation, and Swansea's decision yesterday to pull the Iceland worldwide out of contention for Saturday's trip to Southampton seemed to support Koeman's hope. I heard some rumours that the talks broke down but we are still in negotiations with Swansea. It's important to grow but it is hard because you need one or two big clubs struggling and then maybe you can make the next step.

"I think the way it's going there needs to be, more than likely, a compromise on both sides. That is very often how a deal is made".

"I respect every ambition of every player, he is still training at Everton, training in a good way, and we will see what will happen".

"It is in the best interests that he does not play on Saturday, and that is the plan that he will not be in the squad", he said, as reported by Wales Online.

"It's not an ideal situation, I can't say that it's not".

"It is always a game between the selling club and the buying club, but we are close and let's hope we get an agreement as soon as possible". "That is good news for him and good news for us. So we're as ready as we can be".
