BOTH Powerball and Mega Million jackpots top $300 million


Earlier this week, the Mega Millions jackpot hit an estimated $382 million after no tickets matched all six numbers drawn.

After no one won Wednesday night's Powerball, its jackpot rolled to $356 million for Saturday's game.

It's the first time US lottery players have a choice of games with jackpots topping $300 million, according to CNBC.

Officials said in a press release that the jackpot is the fifth largest in the game's history.

Prizes are based on annuity options, paid over 29 years.
