Barcelona poised to complete Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele deals as Neymar replacements

Ed Aarons of the Guardian claimed that Dembele is now in Paris awaiting permission to fly to Barcelona to complete a transfer, but Dortmund's latest statement tells a very different story.

Borussia Dortmund have confirmed that they have rejected an offer from Barcelona for Ousmane Dembele.

The statement also tells us that the offer "did not correspond to the player's extraordinary abilities". "BVB therefore rejected this offer".

Dembele appears keen to push a deal through, however, and although he was present for the team's official photo on Wednesday, manager Peter Bosz confirmed he skipped a training session on Thursday morning.
