One of Birmingham's largest colleges has failed a government fire safety test in the wake of the Grenfell Tower blaze.
A report on fire safety was written by Trenton Fire after they were commissioned by the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to make recommendations following a review of fire safety of cladded buildings on the trust's four main hospital sites.
Experts have previously voiced concerns that building regulations are unclear on the use of combustible cladding, which paved the way to their use by contractors.
The John Radcliffe hospital is the first to have to transfer patients to other buildings as a result of the checks which every NHS hospital trust in England has carried out since the Grenfell disaster.
A board meeting on 27th July made a decision to decant the 52 inpatient beds from the trauma unit to other wards within the John Radcliffe Hospital. They are now having their cladding system removed and replaced, the city council has said.
Terms of reference for the review will be published this summer, once the terms of reference for the Grenfell Tower public inquiry have been agreed, and an interim report is expected before the end of the year, with a final report published by spring 2018.
Explaining the action, the OUH's chief executive, Dr Bruno Holthof, said: "Our highest priority is the patients in our care and our staff who are dedicated in their care for those patients".

The statement added that colleges already have to follow a "range of strict fire-safety regulations" created to ensure buildings are as safe as possible and "we are extremely well prepared in the event of a fire".
It will look at current building regulations and fire safety, with a particular focus on high-rise tower blocks.
'This independent review will ensure we can swiftly make any necessary improvements. The trust is putting its contingency planning in place and preparing the wards to receive patients from the trauma unit. The unit's ground floor outpatient clinic area will remain open while the upper floors will continue to be used for office and storage space.
