Apple previews new emoji coming to iOS and watchOS

Yes, on Monday Apple previewed 15 new emoji that will be incorporated into the Apple OS family-including iOS, watchOS, and macOS-later on this year.

Among the new pictograms the company has showed off are "bearded person" and "breastfeeding", and food items such as "sandwich" and "coconut".

"The new emoji make it easier for users to express themselves with greater diversity, additional animals and creatures, new smiley faces and more", Apple wrote in a post.

The sneak peak, shared in celebration of World Emoji Day, includes everything from male and female zombies to an exploding head smiley face and a breastfeeding woman.

No matter, Apple's emoji library is about to get a lot more expansive. "As a result, our emoji became inconsistent between old and new designs, making it hard to quickly scan the keyboard to find the right emoji".
