Second Man Charged In Deaths Of Four In Pennsylvania

This combination of undated photos provided by the Bucks County District Attorney's Office shows four men who went missing last week: Tom Meo, top left; Jimi Tar Patrick, bottom left; Dean Finocchiaro, top right; and Mark Sturgis, bottom right. Sean Kratz, also 20, was charged with three counts each of criminal homicide, conspiracy, robbery and abuse of a corpse as well as a weapons charge, according to documents.

The victims were identified as Dean Finocchiaro, 19, of Middletownship; Mark Sturgis, 22, of Pennsburg; Thomas Meo, 21, of Plumstead Township; and Jimi Patrick, 19, of Newtown.

DiNardo, 20, agreed to plead guilty to four first-degree murder counts, attorney Paul Lang said outside court, where DiNardo had met with investigators.

Investigators have found discovered the body of Finocchiaro and other unidentified human remains in a 12.5-foot-grave on Dinardo's parents property in Bucks County. A resident there told The Morning Call that police swarmed the neighborhood late Thursday night, but she did not see the arrest take place.

The prosecutor, who has held twice-daily briefings, made it clear early Thursday he knew a lot more than he was saying, citing the need to protect the investigation.

Charging documents say DiNardo told investigators he and cousin set the men up by arranging to sell them marijuana, and instead shot them, burned their bodies and buried them on the family's sprawling farm property. Weintraub will lay out the case in detail Friday afternoon, according to a spokesman. However, the buyer only had $800 when he came to make the exchange, the affidavit said. Sturgis tried to run, but was gunned down, court records show.

The search has focused on the extensive property - owned by Dinardo's parents, Antonio and Sandra, according to prosecutors - in Solebury Township.

Authorities have said that Dinardo has a history of "severe mental illness" and had been committed to a mental health facility after an episode in which he fired a shotgun.

The two then placed Finnochario's body in a metal tank DiNardo referred to as a "pig roaster".

Neighbors on the cul-de-sac where Dinardo lives in Bensalem described him as a good kid who went out of his way to help others, such as volunteering to shovel them out during snowstorms and refusing payment.

DiNardo and Kratz allegedly murdered the three others two days after Patrick, during two separate drug deals.

At a press conference early Thursday morning, shortly after midnight, Weintraub addressed DiNardo, saying, "I feel that we bought ourselves a little bit of time in charging Mr. DiNardo with the stolen vehicle case today and getting that 5 million dollar bail".

Weintraub said the victims' families were holding up "remarkably well".
