The 65-year-old actress, who continues with the DC universe as President Olivia Marsdin on the CW series "Supergirl", played Wonder Woman throughout the three-season run of the 1970s TV series.

Ryan Reynolds, star of Deadpool, marked Wonder Woman overtaking his movie with a classy (and only a little crass) post on Instagram. The talk leads to a question about a possible cameo in Wonder Woman 2. She called the story was "entirely false" and said it was made up by someone trying to "spread some serious misinfo".

As first reported by ScreenRant, "Wonder Woman" 2 is now being written by DC Entertainment President Geoff Johns alongside "Wonder Woman" director Patty Jenkins and the duo are pitting Diana against the Soviet Union during the 1980's.

There was talk about her starring in the first Wonder Woman film, which Carter says didn't work out due to "timing". "I was so taken with the both of them", she stated. Absolutely I adore Patty Jenkins, and it'll be wonderful to do.

Lynda Carter recently sat down with People and discussed the Wonder Woman movie and its success.

Starring Gal Gadot as Diana, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Robin Wright as General Antiope, Danny Huston as General Erich Ludendorff, David Thewlis as Ares, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Elena Anaya as Doctor Poison and Lucy Davis as Etta Candy, Wonder Woman is now screening in theaters. "But we'll just see how that goes", she continued. Fighting alongside men in a war to end all wars, she finally discovers her full powers and true destiny.

Carter confirmed she could possibly have a role in the second installment of the new franchise.

Most comic book movies grind to a near-halt after a month or so, but Wonder Woman keeps on pushing forward, with week-over-week drops remaining particularly low as people keep going to see it in theaters. "We are half the world, and we want to represented as half the world".
