Disney princesses wearing sweat trousers and discussing their flaws in a scene from upcoming animated movie "Wreck-It Ralph 2" became the most talked-about moment on Friday at Disney's annual D23 convention.

At Disney's D23 Expo 2017 in Anaheim, California today (July 14), Pixar and Disney Animation head John Lasseter surprised the packed convention hall by revealing that he was stepping down as the co-director of Toy Story 4. He assured the thousands of fans in attendance that he would be mentoring and guiding Cooley through the process as an Executive Producer.

Wreck-It Ralph 2 is already shaping up to be the film of summer 2018. Produced by Clark Spencer (Zootopia, Wreck-It Ralph, Bolt), Wreck-It Ralph 2 will feature the return of stars John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jane Lynch and Jack McBrayer.

Vertu's United Kingdom manufacturing arm enters liquidation
Vertu , the company that sells $65,000 smartphones, is shutting down its United Kingdom manufacturing operations. Around 200 jobs will be lost during the liquidation and the company now has debts of around £128 million.

After entering the internet, the pair meet new character, YESSS (voiced by Empire's Taraji P. Henson), an algorithm who lives in a website called Buzzaholic. The scene featured the baby, Jack Jack, getting into a scuffle with a raccoon and showing off some wild powers (think: laser eyes and self-cloning).

YESSS ends up becoming their guide and ultimately takes them through, where Vanellope and Ralph will come face to face with some of our favorite characters from other Disney entities.

The clip ended with a message saying "This Space Will Be Filed with a Title When We Think of One".

Speaking of that other studio, Pixar had a few announcements of its own at D23, including an upcoming film with a "mundane, modern fantasy setting", where the trolls, elves, and sprites from fairy tales live in tract mushroom houses, each with a minivan parked out front.

D23, which is a nod to the year 1923 in which Walt Disney founded the company, runs through Sunday.
