Pepe joined Real Madrid in 2007, going on to win the Champions League three times as well as three LaLiga titles and the Copa del Rey twice before his contract ran out at the end of last season.

And despite being linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, the Portuguese defender has agreed to a two-year deal with Besiktas, with the option of a third year, according to reports in Turkey.

During his 10 years in Madrid, Pepe played on teams that won three Champions League trophies and three La Liga titles, but had fallen down the pecking order for Zinedine Zidane in recent months in part due to injuries.

However, the 34-year-old changed his mind and joined Besiktas on a free transfer.

The fromer Real Madrid player ended his 10-year stint at the club after being released to become a free agent this summer.
