Warrenton celebrates the Old-Fashioned Fourth of July that begins at 11:00 a.m. with a variety of activities including auto and motorcycle show, children's games and bicycle decorating and barbecue, followed by the Fourth of July Parade on Main Avenue.

Say what you will about American culture, but there's no denying that we know how to throw the kind of Independence Day parties that would convince even the famously stoic George Washington to let loose. Festivities will include a parade, fireworks, and music.

The Old Time Ocracoke Parade will take place at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4th. Food available from the Vienna Little League snack bar, those who register can get their taste of America in the form of two eating contests: Children ages 5-10 can sign up onsite to participate in a pie-eating contest. The annual show on the National Mall is likely to be crowded, but the good news is there are plenty of other great spots inside the Beltway to view it.

Astoria, Warrenton, and Seaside each host a community celebration of our nation's Independence Day. The gates open at 5:45 p.m. and music by the Robbie Limon Band and others will start at 6 p.m. Fireworks begin at around 9:45 p.m.
