Lynch action on Clinton inquiry 'totally illegal'

Trump on Friday denied that he asked Comey to let "go" of his investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn and that he requested Comey pledge his loyalty to him prior to Comey's dismissal. If Comey were talking up an "investigation" into a major party's candidate, it wouldn't look very good to the voters, would it?

I can tell you what I've heard. I think not. The Wall Street Journal is looking better and better. Comey, a lifelong man of law, faced ongoing scrutiny regarding his handling of both investigations that ultimately bled into his relationship with President Donald Trump.

And we can surmise that such an order from the attorney general - a friend and political appointee of President Obama - is more damning than anything we know for certain about Trump and the Russians. When pressed about Comey and Lynch all we heard Feinstein say is that we might want, "to have the judiciary committee take a look at that".

At the time, The New York Times reported that "The White House quickly backed off the president's remarks and said he had not been trying to influence the investigation". Instead he did exactly as he was told - queasy feeling or no queasy feeling.

The former Federal Bureau of Investigation director added that he was unsure if the similiarty between the Clinton campaign rhetoric and Lynch's request was intentional but that it "gave me a queasy feeling".

Congressman who witnessed shooting gives emotional, harrowing retelling of baseball shooting
The shooter attempted to gain access to the field, but a locked fence restricted his access. Thursday's game will be held at Nationals Park, where the Washington Nationals play.

"But Mr. Comey and other F.B.I. officials regarded it as disingenuous in an investigation that was so widely known", according to the Weekly Standard.

"Mr. Comey testified that former AG Loretta Lynch told him to, when he discussed the Clinton investigation, to call it a matter not an investigation", Jordan said. Sometimes we just accept reality.

Comey "took that interaction and the fact she had met with Bill Clinton as enough reason to decide he would not allow the Justice Department to decide the fate of the case and instead would go public" with his own assessment that the Federal Bureau of Investigation could not prove Mrs. Clinton meant to violate the law when she transmitted classified information through her private email and therefore should not be criminally charged. We must go fact- searching alone to discover that he, Comey himself, has deep long time Clinton relationships and his brother had worked for the Clinton Foundation.

We may never know, but he just might have at least threatened to resign.

That's something James Comey knows how to do.
